Here are the rules for the forum. If you do not abide to them, you will be warned once. If you break a rule again, you WILL be banned. There are exceptions though:
If on the second offense, the second rule you break is not that much of a deal, you will be warned but if it IS a big deal, you WILL be banned.
If you break a serious rule on the first offense, like ****, you will be banned on the spot.

Section 1: Behavior
Do NOT flame or troll
Flaming is "an online argument that becomes nasty or derisive, where insulting a party to the discussion takes precedence over the objective merits of one side or another". Basically, getting into a mudslinging argument. Trolling is where a user tries to coax other users into flaming. Flaming will get you suspended, constant flaming and/or trolling will most likely get you banned.

Keep outside disputes outside
If someone is harassing you over AIM/MSN, this is not the place to get a solution. We cannot deal with anything outside of Green Hill Zone. Likewise, don't let outside arguments boil over into Green Hill Zone.

You may not register more than one account
However, there is one exception. If you have a family member that wishes to register as well, you should contact a staff member for an OK. This counts as reregistering because the two accounts will look like they're the same person (because they will be from the same computer), which is why we want notice.

Section 2: Posting habits
Do NOT SPAM
Spamming is the act of posting messages that have little relevance or point, especially to the topic at hand. If you keep posting offtopic replies, or advertisements to your site outside of the Forum Madness board will result in a warning. double offenders will probaly be banned. Only place where you can barely get by with it is in Insanity. Keep all of your crappy threads, if you must make them, in there.

Don't multipost
Make your topic once, and use the edit function instead of a new reply if you want to add something to a post you just made.

Please keep your postings in the relative boards
Putting your SMW hacking stuff in the Rest & Relaxation board will result in deletion of the thread. repeat offenders will be banned.

Don't bump old threads without reason
Generally, threads should stay dormant/dead if nobody has made a reply after 5 months. There are exceptions to this, but in general, please don't do it. If a thread is found dead over a long vast of time, it will be locked and/or deleted. There's a 5 month limit btw, so after 5 months, the thread will be deleted or locked.

Please try to proofread your message before posting
Having a clear, well-written post will make it easier for everyone else to read and respond to your message. So before you press the "Submit" button, please double check your post for any spelling or grammar problems, and please try not to use any "netspeak". If your post is unreadable garbage, you run a high risk of being banned.

Look for existing threads first
Many threads with topics like "lol look at this youtube video" can be fit into another, existing thread. Look for them, they're usually stickied so they appear on the top of the thread list all the time.

Section 3: Content Restrictions.
No explicit content
No adult-oriented material is allowed. This includes any form of pornography or nudity. This also includes textually explicit postings. Posting explicit content for no reason or purely for the sake of offending others will result in a on the spot ban from Green Hill Zone. The lenght of the ban will be decided by staff.

Illegal material = NO
No illegal material can be posted. This includes **** (illegal software), cracks (edits to software to make them fully functioning), and ROMs. Emulators, freeware/homebrew ROMs, and .IPS patches are fine to post. Posting any illegal material will result in a PERMANENT IP BAN from Green Hill Zone!

No excessive swearing
No words are filtered, so you can post whatever you want to. Don't do it in poor taste though, or you'll just get made fun of.

No advertisement outside of your signature
Do not make a thread or a post dedicated solely to advertising your (or another's) website. Please leave that stuff in your signature.

Section 4: Guidelines for SMW Hacking Board.

Do NOT post crappy YouTube videos of SMW Hacks
This is very annoying. If you post a video showing a crappy edit of 105 that has bad palettes, floating munchers, and cutoffness, you will receive a warning. Repeat offenders will be banned.

Don't submit crappy content
Don't submit buggy hacks, don't submit horrible ExGFX, and don't submit glitchy custom blocks/sprites to the SMW Board. They will be deleted. Consistently re-submitting bad content will get you banned.

Tip:
Forum Fun is NOT the focus of this site
Don't post exclusively in this forum. It is there to allow users to unwind a little, not vomit mass amounts of crap posts.
